The condition for an order, received from an external system, to be successful in Ebriza POS is for the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) in the external system to be identical with the one in Ebriza.

When we say external system in this article we are talking about an ordering software, such as hipMenu.

If the order fails, in other words it will not be registered in the Ebriza POS, you will receive an error message within hipMenu that would state "Order no. 000XXX failed. Product "xxx" could not be identified in Ebriza or it does not exist".

In order to avoid this situation for a future order, you need to make sure that the products from hipMenu have the exact same SKU as the products in Ebriza.

How to synchronize SKU.

  1. From your hipMenu account you can search for the product/products that have failed or you can export all of the products (recommended only if you need to verify several products at once).



You can export the list of products in an editable document or you can edit the products, one by one, dir

ectly from your hipMenu account.



2. In Ebriza you can search for the items from the Configuration menu, where you also have the possibility of exporting a list of the products, to more easily compare the SKUs between the two systems (in case there are several products that require verification)


3. After you have identified the product in both hipMenu and Ebriza, compare the SKUs.
*ATTENTION - to successfully transfer the order from hipMenu to Ebriza POS, it is mandatory for the product or its options to have identical SKUs. Thus, the product from hipMenu should be modified.

Starting from a concrete example, we have 2 products that exist in Ebriza (name, SKU, price and different recipes) and just one in hipMenu that has 2 options regarding the size.

Step 1: Verify the SKU of the products in Ebriza. Click on search and enter the name of the product you wish to verify.
Step 2: Verify the SJU of the product in hipMenu. From Menu Editor - select the product Pizza Capricciosa and click on Edit


Because there is a Pizza Capricciosa of different sizes with different price and, implicitly, a different SKU for each size, you already have the "multiple sizes" option selected.




Edit the respective sizes with the corect price and add the SKU that you previously identified in Ebriza for the 2 existing products.

*ATTENTION - for Pizza Capriccciosa with 2 sizes, in Ebriza you have configured 2 distinct products, with distinct recipe, price and SKU, but in hipMenu you have only one product with 2 options. The SU from Ebriza, for Pizza Capricciosa Large, will be written in hipMenu at the Large option.





After editing the SKUs, SAVE the modifications that you have made and select Publish Edits.
At the next order, the products will be automatically registered in the Ebriza POS as they will be identified based on the SKU.





If there is a product in hipMenu which is saved exactly as it is in Ebriza, meaning that there are no extra options for the product, the SKU will need to be filled directly in hipMenu in the menu editor.

*ATTENTION - If you have opted to make all the changes in the exported product list, do not forget to save the changes and then import the list back in hipMenu, in order for the changes to take effect.
